KURDISTANICA

KURDISTANICA, the Kurdish Encyclopaedia, is a digital information and database devoted to the Kurdish people. The Encyclopaedia of Kurdistan Network "KURDISTANICA" is a virtual organization in the form of a Global Academic/Professional Open Network dedicated to the establishment and growth of a multilingual Kurdish encyclopaedia on the World Wide Web. KURDISTANICA is an independent, non-partisan, non-political, non-profit organisation committed to the dissemination of knowledge about and for the Kurds.
The KURDISTANICA will only be available in electronic form on the World Wide Web, a worldwide computer network with users from over 198 countries. This programme seeks to offer a comprehensive understanding of the Kurdish people, their ancient history dating back to the dawn of civilization, their rich and diversified culture and customs, and the current condition of affairs in Kurdistan. KURDISTANICA is the Kurds' first national effort for an electronic archive on the World Wide Web, dating back to 1992. KURDISTANICA is available to the public and may be viewed from any computer with an internet connection, from anywhere.
